I finally received the negatives from my Trees and Shadows post.  Nothing.  Both were completely blown out, over exposed.  I can’t say I wasn’t numbed, but quickly got over it.  The images are still vividly on display in my memory.  The glowing moon light.  The taste of the frigid air on my tongue, its sting on my face.  The highly contrasting tree shadows on the glistening snow.

Coffee Mug

So I have this somewhat new-fangled phone with a camera on it.  Of course, I had to search for photography-related applications.  While playing with Retrocamera, I photographed my coffee mug with five different “cameras”. It’s kind of a fun app. The square format reminds me of my medium format camera with 6×6 back, and the feel of the “processed” images that of uncoated or early coated lenses. It’s not film, but I do like always having a camera with me, which is just a tad more difficult to do with my traditional gear.
